Edit: I thought you bought something rehabbed completely, but re-read and sounds like ground up construction.

Get the most bang for my buck.My bad, rereading my response it is obvious I was not clear at all.We do not pick a category.

I just re-read the original question:I'm not at home to review my worn and dog eared copy of the book, but I believe that if you review the scenario, you'll find that the individual offering to accept a payoff of $8,000 is NOT the original lender.  

I have read and reread hundreds of past posts on multiple platforms concerning my exact question and by far your answer has been the most helpful!

I have to reread this post like 5 times to understand it though haha. 

I still need to get more info on the difference which I can do once I get the time--I will go back and re-read the earlier post.  

I’m happy to elaborate for anyone who actually cares, as I think it is a point of frustration for newer investors in this current market and can manifest itself in other ways, sometimes in ways they may find to be embarrassing in the future when they reread their old BP posts.
