I thought that was literally illegal to have that many people in a 1 bedroom.Regarding the wages there... outside of the tech sector... silicon valley etc....it seems  wages in LA or CA generally, is for the most part not materially different from the rest of the country but housing prices obviously is. 

http://www.laweekly.com/news/legislation-to-expand...We need to get the word out at investor meetings, to other landlords, home owners, that we still need to maintain our PRIVATE PROPERTY RIGHTS.It's like them coming in and telling all the tech guys in silicone valley-- hey you can't charge that amount at Amazon.com or Microsoft. 

So ambitious people will always flock to nyc, Silicon Valley.

A Silicon Valley VC once mentioned to me how in 2003 - 2006 he rejected investments in several new tech companies because he thought they were dot bombs.

In our area (Silicon Valley) you are competing with an army of bidders.

I never had trouble renting even in December in Silicon Valley.M2M is better for the landlord, in my opinion. 

I managed a lot of tenants over nearly a decade in Silicon Valley, and had to kick some out. 

This is in Silicon Valley, where apartments cost quite a bit.
