While our real estate market in Houston is not the disaster that many predicted with the Oil and Gas slowdown, lots of statistics point to a slowdown in real estate. 

Hello Landlords and Property Managers of BP,I have been working on a research project for a while to look at how common and alternative screening methods predict different aspects of what I'm calling Tenant Performance (including Payments, Vacating, Maintenance, Cleaning, Interactions with Landlords, and Causing Damages).

I am trying to get transferred and it is not my intention to stay in my currrent house, but this lender insists that since I cannot predict the future it is sort of a given I intend to stay.  

I think that most big cities allready have high prices and there rea       lly is not any way to predict the future.  

Many times outcomes are predictable given the initial circumstances. 

There doesn't seem to be anything on the horizon that would stop that growth but of course, "predictions are hard, especially about the future".  :-)   Rents are very high right now and in most cases a mortgage is considerably less per month.I and my clients are buying in a growing area of Charleston right now and we have faith in it for at least another 3 years.  

I love being proven wrong in a way that means someone is being more successful than I might have predicted or anticipated, so I will not begrudge anyone proving me wrong for a single second, and I'll be the first to say "Grats!"

If you read any of Harry Dent's books / listens to his interviews, he is predicting a very severe downturn to hit very soon.
