Using a realitor, ins't a contributing factor unless the rest of the numbers say otherwise.What you're asking is the same as asking if I bought a new car with tires, could I get good gas miliage with it?

In preparation for this move we have taken a financial audit of our circumstances and see that our 401k (I have the only account now, just shy of $100k @ 40 and my wife has just begun to contribute to her own this year at 33) will not get us where we want to be in 25-30 years.

Help out on a deal: Find a way to contribute to someone's syndication, raise capital, find the deal, help underwrite, ect.

To revive the topic:I contacted some agencies from BP, selling DST.It appears, I can not do this option anyway, since I have only 250K to invest, and mostly DST are designed for accredited investors with minimum one million to contribute. 

I look forward to contributing to the community and attending meet-ups to meet more like minded individuals.  

Starter homes (which are also the best rentals) are becomming harder and harder to find.Investors who own SFRs are not selling, which contributes to even tighter inventory. 

I think one benefit is learning and feeling like I am contributing to others here, and the second is gaining visibility.

As you start adding rentals to your portfolio, you want to make sure each property is contributing to positive cash flow if you want to scale up.
