Building anything in Fremont CA is currently a nightmare and every interaction with a city official is unpleasant to say the least!

Generally speaking, I would post the proper notices according to state law and then start the clock ticking until you can officially treat it as abandoned. 

I've been in touch with county officials: does the fire department want to have some test burns -- so I can reduce the amount of debris to scrape? 

I am giving you official notice to vacate the home no later than February 29th and returning possession to me.I would send this certified so you can verify receipt and have proof for court.

I officially had a 73 unit building for $554,800 and I couldn't be happier.

We never officially notified the city about these additions. 

I am waiting for the official report and then I want to negotiate my offer with the seller.
