Basically, money was stolen from the accounts by the second owner of the company (based on the documents from court that I was able to review online).

Worst case it’s a fake/stolen check and you’re out the same month’s rent as if they had said they were going to be late.

I think there's a reasonable argument to be made that certain RE is a better hedge than gold, silver or other hedge assets because it can serve a legitimate useful function (providing housing) and is not easily stolen.

the way to change your station in your career is to start making commissions and once your making 700k a year then you can invest in real estate if you want to or bitcoin or the stock market or whatever.. but you need the big income first and foremost.

I stopped using Craigslist several years ago; ads get stolen so easily (even watermarking the pictures) and often get lost in the continuous postings for "rent to own" scams on that site.
