I tried using BP's Agent Finder tool, but did not get any results. 

I will admit we got pulled into one and to be honest, found what we received through the Bigger Pockets network (tools, books, networking, etc.) far exceeded what we made many times for elsewhere. 

Wow Saber rattling letters to their LP's that will quiet some but other I bet it will have the opposite effect on .The internet/SM cuts both ways great tool for expanding ones business or it can tear it down.

Section 8 can be a great TOOL for an investor if used wisely. 

They can guide you and give advice  on what they see is popular or "up and coming"...often, they hear of properties that are going to go on the market before they hit the market (some "for sale by owners").Keep learning at BP, keep asking questions, read the BP books.

They often make decisions that are popular with their constituents but not really in the best interest.  

Cart rental is very popular in the area.

(Wyoming and Nevada, are popular for this)This still doesn't solve your "privacy issue" though, that would generally be done by holding title in a real estate privacy trust.
