@Jerry Shen  you may want to dice up your sales proceeds.... just like a smart stock portfoliobuy some of this some of that.. and not have all your eggs in one basket.there are definitely short term type investments that will do quite a lot better than 10% and offer you liquidity as well.if you want to hit me off line I can explain some options for someone in your predicament  ( LOL) albeit a very nice predicament.

While 'Driving for Dollars' in my neighborhood, my offline lead generating strategy, i came across an abandoned home which retails on Zillow for around 400k.

I however would use mostly big box store items that are readily available instead of ordering offline for example.
