I think its kind of making more sense now in my head what I want so I will try to be more organized in relating this info to you guys:in order to retire/do something else, here is what I think I need:1) live in a paid off house2) have 6 k in passive income...Even if I stay in my job, which I probably will for a while, I really dont want to leverage my house to buy investment properties.

The part that calms me down thinks that this could all be organic growth due to all of the positive market forces going on right now and that prices will continue to go higher naturally.

There are charity organizations that you may be able to apply to in order to get assistance on rent, and we would be happy to accept rent from such an organization (insert charity names and contact info if you know of any, in my area there are several grant programs that help single women specifically).

Retail investments, ALFs, small apartment complexes, and planned communities are all on the horizon, but my focus will be on organizing tools to help real estate investors raise, organize, and optimize their capital formation process.  

I haven't seen anyone mention LendingClub or similar organizations as a way to finance their acquisitions.

Real Estate is a team sport.

We might be able to use it for hunting and winter sports depending on the area we buy in.- If we buy a couple thousand acres of ranch land, but want to turn it into a wind or solar farm, how quickly does the land need to become active with the actual farming of natural resources?
