Hey @Enrique Mendez - I am new to the real estate game as well (still in the personal finance organization stage), but I have read Real Estate Rookie and it provided some great nuggets of wisdom to get started.

We don't allow access to our garage as we have a lot of stuff for the house stored there, but having some cool game area in there or more storage would be nice.

I just shy away from places without strong established tourism markets i.e. growing urban areas, national parks, beaches etc.

I’m new to the rental game as I’m sure my question shows my newbie status. 

So what happens in the 4th quarter of the game (Sept. 18th) when the FED decides to not cut rates?

That said, I wouldn't advise someone to get into the game if the goal is short term cash flow unless they were super savvy. 

Hi everyone,I recently moved to Ann Arbor from NYC - very excited to be here!  Really interested in networking and deciding what types of things to get involved with in the local market.  Considering airbnb's downtown...

My goals are not too crazy, but I do want to establish a portfolio that is significant to my family over the next ten years. 

When you're new with no experience, It will be extremely hard to find anyone that will go into business with you if you have no skin in the game, and you don't know enough buyers and sellers to be an efficient wholesaler. 

This role does not interfere with my day job, and I am eager to learn as much as possible about the industry.I am now looking to network with local established people in the Halifax/HRM area who are involved in the real estate industry.
