The one thing you might try is talking with a local lender like a regional bank or credit union and ask about portfolio products.Around here (Plymouth County) I'd talk with Rockland Trust, Eastern Bank, East Boston Savings Bank, Bridgewater Savings Bank and others like them.

I think this is icing on the cake.If I were you, next steps would be:- Identify where you want to target in Florida- Once you've found an area or region, find some well reviewed realtors in the area and share your goal with them.

My biggest concern is the growing lack of good domestic NPL inventory.I would think with the strengthening of the mortgage requirements that its inevitable that inventory goes down.. however you can always count on a certain amount of bad paper for various reasons.. it will be regional of course.. there is still more homes than people to live in them in some markets so you will have folks just walking away.
