We plan to stay in the new primary residence for a long time because we love the location, the neighborhood, and the land.

Indiana has several markets that can hit the 1% rule, particularly with duplexes and small multi-family properties.

Not saying there isn't money in new properties, there obviously is, but I love tearing into an old place and upgrading it.
