For example, if you own 3 properties and also run your consulting business through one LLC and someone sues your consulting business, they could technically go after your 3 properties as well (depending on the judgement on the case).

We thought since they never answered our complaint we would get a summary judgement but the judge just was not going to give the buyer ( us) that easy pass.He ( the judge) made us advertise in the paper since the seller would never accept service.. etc etc.. it was quite drawn out.. in our case we put up 40k in EM and she spent it.. ( the seller) so it was the only way to get our money back.. plus the deal was a development deal that we went on to make some significant gains on after spending a lot of time and money on those issues.
