The HOA will not let you contact them directly, you have to go through the property management company so you are forced to work through a middle man.

Case in point I rented another apartment had surveillance cameras and caught the maintenance man rummaging through my drawers.I decided to do the 24 hour notification with them anyway just to keep a better relationship with the tenant and not piss them off.
