What made you interested in investing in this type of deal?

You hire tax specialists in every country in which you invest and you have them work together with your tax advisor in the US.What you could do would also depend of your own knowledge of the tax laws in the countries in which you invest.Hope this helps

Bad customer service (from the partners), unprofessional client information management, ridiculously long underwriting, and I’ll add this..a low-key throwing of their loan officer under the bus for information “he did not know” or “must have been mistaken” about.

Do it with pen and paper first and then once you're well versed, you can start to build out a proforma model.

You do need to partner with a good operator, and there's plenty of mediocre ones out there. 

The court received the funds 5 months ago, the sheriff mailed the check to the attorney's office in October 2023.

However, some investors don't mind this strategy if they prefer not to put a lot of liquid in up front and plan to refi out within a few years of closing (which seems to be a great option with the talks of the FED reducing interest rates this year).It really comes down to investing in a growing market, in a good neighborhood & building a great team to support you.
