If you start in your market now and then transition later.. you will have to rebuild your entire network and start over with your knowledge on the selected market.I suggest looking into OOS investing.

Granted, I self manage so I am meeting tenants, but at the end of the day, getting this gut check on the person I am going to trust living in my property kept me from having any issues with my tenants that would require a "more landlord friendly state".Given the wide swath of the country that is "landlord friendly", I would think more about places you know well and/or have ties to already.  

Doing flips to create capital and investing the profits in rentals can be a very profitable investment strategy.If you’re looking to invest in your backyard, it helps to network with as many local investors as you can.

Hey @Bob Asad, we have several HELOC lenders in our network that cover your area.

I have a network of real estate professionals I know of - and if I have the opportunity to refer you to anyone, I will definitely do so.

Speaking of which, I'm gonna be putting together a Women's Speed Networking Meetup on Tuesday during one of the breaks.
