Any uptick in supply, will lower the prices but still re-mark your asset higher than it's been simply because the only solutions to creating more equal supply is two fold:1) lower rates2) build more1 will increase underlying asset price2 will lower underlying asset price at current conditions, but likely raise yours if you bought earlier.The right investment besides hard assets, isn't S&P, but likely owning debt if we're looking 10-15 years from now.

A few contributing factors: (1) my wife already worked remote pre-COVID and my employer is WFH until at least early next year, (2) we're paying an ungodly amount in rent for a tiny apartment without any of the original benefits of living in the city, and (3) we plan to spend the next 3-5 yrs on the west coast before eventually moving back east.The current strategy I'm debating is two-fold.

I am no expert and don't work in the RE industry in any capacity, but it is an interest and I have a few close friends in the fold that do it for a living and, from talking with them, I'm agreeing with Hanna about how we might be topping out and the market doesn't likely have much more appreciation in store.
