By the time you average out the California with the Midwest and the East Coast - it does not make sense anymore.Even my local markets behave so differently: in some parts of Milwaukee we have some inventory (about 2 months worth), in Cedarburg houses sell within 24 hours (right now, right after Thanksgiving, "slowest time of the year") while Mequon has a two year supply of mansions for sale that nobody wants.

Button board was a transition material from say 1940-1970 so your post WW2 housing boom areas, but that's about it.So the plaster is a material that doesn't behave like what we're familiar with which is gypsum drywall.
