Growing Pains - What's Your Experience?

Brodie Hinkle
Posted

I am curious to hear about your biggest growing pain as you grew your portfolio over time.

In short, I started investing in SFR real estate in 2017 with one property. Over the last few years, my portfolio has grown to 21 properties that I plan to hold in perpetuity. I've certainly gone through a series of growing pains, such as: maxing out my lending capacity with a local bank I've used on all my deals, budgeting for 21 properties instead of a few properties, maintenance, tenant communication, etc. The growing pains have been quite significant at times and I'd like to hear from those who have gone through it already and are on the other side. What did you do in order to maintain focus, effectively manage your assets, and keep your sanity while juggling all of the tasks at once?

Open for any input and ideas.

As always, thanks for being the best RE community out there!
