It was very very important to the seller as its next to their home.The property was then chopped, sold 1 time  but all deeds still carried the restriction, but by referring back to previous restrictions. 

We finished remaining incomplete items and correct those items done incorrectly.

Their pricing isn't all that great but the service is good and they will wrap an umbrella liability policy around all of your personal items as well as up to 10 properties. 

I stopped carrying 99% of the time after that because I had been out of the army a dozen years already and it too close for comfort.Next was 2021, when I decided to take REI seriously.

Keep in mind you have carrying costs, selling costs and taxes. 

It's not investment, and it's certainly riskier, but it's not some absurd concept.Leasing an item to use in business is pretty standard.I don't see why leasing an apartment or house to use as a short term rental is any crazier than renting a crane and using it in construction.

(I sold a unit that I purchased for 485k about 10 years ago for 1.7m and did a 1031 exchange and used a little on the second unit)  Total carrying costs of approx. $8450 a month.

Everyone knows Starbucks, great brand, but their buildings are expensive to build and more often than not, the want the developer to carry the lions share the cost of development in exchange for higher rent.

This will allow you to get to know the property, its maintenance items, and slowly tenant proof(upgrade) the units before you move back to CA.
