If you're looking for just simple carport rv parking with asphalt I think you would be looking around 60 bucks a foot, depending on what steel prices do.

I would power wash them, steel wire brush them and sand them.

I may have to update my old fire escape so I'd be interested as to what you find out.My plan was to take off the metal fire escape and add a 2nd floor deck to double as a fire escape but I was told this deck may also have to be steel. 

If you use a simple clear poly instead of a bunch of stain then one tip is you can scrub with steel wool and re apply poly in just that section.

If you sell, i would recommend granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances ect.
