What I thought was going to do a simple diy on my well, turned into almost a whole weekend ordeal that involved cutting rusted together fittings and sourcing new ones that would spring a leak (thanks for "great" lowes quality on their 1" barb fittings from china...) - whose great idea was it to create pipe threads that need either tape or pipe dope to actually seal?
