I uses the large metal building in the back as my workshop and rent the house separately.

It also has a door that goes to a workshop space that has a entrance/exit to the outside.

@Caleb Johnson  You have learned a valuable lesson something that no "guru" could have taught you in a 3 days workshop/seminar. 

I encourage you to go to the Housing Authority workshops while you're in town to learn more about the rules, because they get updated frequently enough and will get you up to speed.
