A lot of them are designed to run on a big battery; check to see if it can just run from the charger all the time.One drawback is that it may only have a relatively wide-angle lens; as far as I know you can't usually swap lenses like you can with a "real" security camera.Wally World sells a few and the big local hunting / sporting goods store will have more.

They are hard working appliances and do seem to break more often than a refrigerator or stove, BUT for ~$300 a replacement appliance can be swapped in using a used appliance store.

If  the area turns around I can swap that out for quartz.  

Focusing on cashflowing properties thousand of miles away can be nothing more than a job swap with no extra freedom. 

Corporate debt is so bad the Govt is getting ready to do credit default swaps with private companies.

I would also do a mid stay clean, just a linen swap & wipe down bathrooms.
