@Somaya Abdelhadi Definitely would say you need some sort of boots on the ground knowledge before trying to tackle a deal like this, especially in Memphis where there are areas of town you really don't want to buy in.

That may or may not be the case in areas of low humidity (Arizona, Colorado, etc) As someone who has done renovations and repairs (major and minor) for 10 years on a dozen or so rentals, I wouldn’t even tackle building my own home unless I was trying to go off grid and wouldn’t need everything up to “code.”
