Currently, I'm holding a 10 unit building in a LLC and am contemplating creating an additional LLC to hold the title of a 12 unit.

I have been contemplating this question for a while now.  

However now I'm contemplating making money off it.

After installing the granite, I am now contemplating staining or painting them a different color, perhaps a dark espresso stain OR paint them a beige cream either of which would match the granite.

I have contemplated doing exactly that but you realize I am retired and lazy.

That is exactly what i was contemplating was as well.

However, I have spent a great deal of time researching the markets in provinces in which we are contemplating investing - even then, I still get things wrong.
