I installed a new hvac unit in my personal house, blew in 12 inches of insulation, added soffit vents 8 more of them, a ridge vent , and added storm windows at the recommendation of my hvac contractor. 

They will let you know if you need to upgrade the kitchen and install an HVAC because they know what the other homes in the neighborhood have.

They immediately offered me a $20 discount to stay with them, but this was after I already had the other service installed.

The installation of the boxes will run around $30 a door versus around $500 a door to run the vent outside.  

Installation is not difficult VERY similar to painting.
