Here's a random thought I had regarding marriage today, specifically engagements.What if instead of buying an engagement/wedding ring everyone simply purchased a buy/hold investment for their partner.

I currently attend Colorado State University (finance major) and I'm about to take on one of the best adventures of my life: marriage, so investing seems a little less scary right now! 

That is assuming that the condo was your residence prior to marriage and the marriage was the reason you moved out.Also, as @Brian Schmelzlen pointed out, I'm not sure whether $100k represents your taxable gain.

More specifically, I'm looking for a database or service that provides information on the owners age, marriage status (I've heard of some sites updating with divorce information).

It also decreed the separation of properties between them and ordered the equal partition of personal properties located within the country, excluding those acquired by gratuitous title during the marriage.

(Side note: is it ok to ask the married couple to provide a copy of their marriage certificate as proof?)

Plus renting before certainly if you offer seller financing is like "dating before marriage" if you plan on offering financing. 

Luckily (for sake of his marriage), the DOJ shut down online poker and he was "forced" to go back to being a doctor... :-)Btw, anyone who plays poker seriously probably knows that the poker world has huge guru industry!

(NOT THE OCCUPANTS)Once all this is done, I now  pronounce us Landlord and Tenant, give them the  ring, (key ring with keys of course) and our marriage (contract) has been completed, and most times I even get a hug at this time.
