My inclination would be that the 30 day notice means tenants have 30 days, regardless of where in the month that falls.

This old house is original with gas furnace (modernized from oil) heat ducts on main floor and heat rising through grated openings in the upstairs bedrooms.Have used cadet heaters in bedrooms, make sense able to control overall bedrooms without heating whole house if one is so inclined.
