Yes, the filter now needs to be cut through, which can be a pain, but your tenant or plumber can open septic lid (about 2 feet in the ground), where they pump the tank from and fish out the snake and remove the claw head and pull the snake back, that is what he is saying is wrapped up in the septic system but it is a tank.
