Hey there, Since I am still in the learning stages of real estate this might be a dumb questions...I see the signs everywhere "We buy ugly houses" I understand that you pay very little for these homes you put a little money into fixing them up and sell.

I am very new to the country, just 7 years old and am in the real estate business for the last 2 years.Investing in fixers is a topic of interest to me but since I have never done it for myself, I am in an exploratory stage, just trying to get more info, guidance and leads on such properties in the bay area.I am a bit reluctant to look outside the state.Just sharing something- I invested in pre construction apartments in India and just doubled my money even before they are ready for possession !!

I think living in a house and remodeling it slowly makes more sense because you can afford to hold the house, stage it and if you only make a marginal profit at least it's tax free after two years.

Landlord is littlebit crazy kind (On one occasion when I complained about some minor issues he started shouting and screaming over the phone with lots of F*** words since then I actually stopped communicating to him) and I think I may have to involve authorities, if that stage is reached where should I complain or should I just get the help of attorney.In any case I would appreciate your response and help in my problem.thanks in advance,Rental7
