If you kept going down the hallway, you'd end up in the kitchen. is the only place in the building where the living areas open to each other, There is only one place where you can access the second floor from the first floor, which is the stair case I described.and must be passed through to access one living area, from other living area,To access the second floor from inside the house, you must pass through the living room or kitchen of the first floor. and provides privacy The only way to privately enter the second floor without entering any living areas of the first floor is using the steel staircase that was added to the back of the house.possible solutions....make sure there is more than one door between the two living areas.

Also, in regards to negative slopes to property foundations, whether grass or cement, the ground isn't perfectly straight, earth saturation levels differ and not all properties have declining ground on each of its sides.

The house's deed is already in my name so I'm not sure if that matters.I dont want to be a B***** but I loved that house growing up and it makes me so upset that she left it a mess up stairs
