Not aware of onerous anti-LO laws in FL but not positive there.  

He's definitely anti-United States, but does support his ideals as being American, in that, the American dream is about going where opportunity is, just like settlers and immigrants that came to the US in the beginning.

Unless you have surveyed every single wholesaler or run in circles where wholesalers congregate (BP doesn't count, the extreme and out of touch anti-wholesaler sentiment that runs rampant here causes most of us to congregate elsewhere), you have no idea what you're talking about. 

Guessing here, but Anti-Money Laundering Act (AML) or even Frank-Dodd may apply, and its just being enforced.
