Naturally the months of vacancy destroyed the profitability for the year but it was an important lesson which will be carried forward on our plan for future vacancies.

I think the answer is obvious.Sell the place not because the return is not adequate but sell it to better leverage the VA loan.Good luck.

SFHs will be much higher risk for buy and hold investors unless you have a significant number of doors.Those investors concerned about leverage are either small investors with few doors or are not buying with adequate cash flow.
