Make sure the culture is right for you, do you need someone to keep you accountable?

I'll note some of the reasons I moved (family friendly culture, less traffic, lots of outdoor activities) are bringing people to the area in droves.As far as STR, I have one STR in Myrtle Beach that's done very well in the past year, and as you note, no "landlord" drama there. 

Because I would want to make sure it created a culture of accountability and family, and not of something like a blaming culture.

@Matthew Irish-Jones,Thanx for the recommendation, the good thing the property does not need any renovation, btw, if I had the total cash, u would recommend me to buy the property out of pocket?

@Matthew Irish-Jones I tried to brief it up a but no I'm the property manager for a few of the units in that complex.

I personally love the downtown culture and moving into a larger condo (once I find one).
