There is a shared parking lot and common stairway and signage.

The inside is unfinished..not even a stairway to the brand new second level.

Considerations need to be made for possible additional stairways, elevator for ADA compliance and sprinklers.

I evicted all tenants in the basement prior to closing, now I am thinking of opening that stair way to the basement (a room that was used as an apt that has a separate entrance) and advertising it as added living space to the two bedroom apartment.

A little tight around the stairway corners to get a box spring up there but a teen would definitely put a mattress up there.3 windows and a sky light.

Single entrance to the building into a common area entryway with separate entrances to my unit just inside and the rental unit up a stairway from there.  

I am thinking I'll just redo the wood floors upstairs in the bedrooms and wood stairway and stick in a little piece of Berber in the LR.

You can look up exactly where you need to install them but generally one in each bedroom, living room, near each stairway, etc. 

He lives in a converted SFH where there is a side door that leads into a stairway landing.
