I'm not very well versed in the intricacies of these account types and rules relating to them, so I'm doing as much research as possible before jumping in.

Make sure you find an attorney who specializes in these arrangements because everyone will tell you they do them, and then they are just using some lame boiler-plate contract that doesn't consider a lot of the intricacies involved in the contracts and state laws.  

A typical home inspector won't know the intricacies... and most won't get dirty enough to diagnose (as ours did)

Every deal has its own intricacies and it's important to have a lender(s) who can work through them. 

One of the very few times I'd recommend FB, but that group knows more about the intricacies of RE and will be able to to give you a far broader view of what you are getting into.

If you have a burning desire to self-manage or learn every intricacy of Sec8, at least hire them and learn from the professionals themselves. 

The idea is it's somewhat of a safe play for me to learn the intricacies of the transaction while getting paid to do so.
