Not all that glitters is gold.

A cat is definitely less stressful, but not trouble free.Cat food left out overnight invites roaches into the house.This I did not experience, but a friend who is a fellow landlord did - a tenant flushed kitty litter down the toilet and caused a blockage in the drain.One time I had to replace a central AC system, tenant had the cat in a bedroom, with door closed.

Always better to be safe than sorry and everything that glitters isn't gold.

That conjures up images of fabulous glittering wealth, statues and buildings erected in my honor, my name engraved on the collective consciousness of humankind across the ages.I am also very aware of the very human failing of self-congratulation.

Assemble ten people, each with $5,000- $10,000 to create a $50,000 to $100,000 kitty!

I never even noticed, but as I was finishing the basement cleanout, there was a lot of kitty litter pushed under/behind the oil tank.

Obviously I applaud the other party for taking action and being successful but this really makes me question my business model of buy and hold if it seems you can make money faster wholesaling without any of the other hassles I'm currently learning through (renovations, tenant screening, refinancing etc)I hear a lot of times on BP about staying focused and not following everything that glitters but it sucks thinking that I gave away 25K in easy cash.

Mind you not all that glitters is gold when it comes to councillors.
