There's no privacy from the road.

And if you want a rental component, you can always house hack either by the room or -- if you want more privacy -- by finding a home with a basement apartment or a carriage house/mother-in-law suite out back. 

Here, people pay a premium for privacy, so two 1 BR apartments will always rent for much more than a 2BR SFH.

The unit is gutted and renovated.We charge $1050 while other properties on the block rent for $900-950.Our property already stands out from others due to renovation but I want to add a privacy fence.Our rent was actually counting the fence expense.

To me this is much better than rent by room for privacy reasons for one, and also you can get your investment career started with a multifamily right off the bat.  

We start issuing lease violations to them, and every time, they use each other as support and making false accusations against my parents that live on site saying they are doing illegal stuff like entering their unit while they are not there and somehow privacy issue of my parents spying/watching them in retaliation.

This makes them especially popular with multigenerational travel since grandparents can stay downstairs and also have more privacy.
