The oldest restriction that comes to mind in the US is the prohibition of any sale to a person based on race and you can still find them in title searches or abstracts, but such a restriction now violates the Fair Hosuing Act and is simply overlooked and unenforceable.I have never heard of any bank enforcing a deed restriction and voiding any sale, especially since it would effect a new owner in title say 45 days later.
