I'm not saying all are like that, but I can tell you the TV flipping personality events (there are multiple) are not worth it.I'm not saying there aren't legitimate coaches just letting you know that the huge seminars are (in my opinion) a scam.

I don't think its any kind of a scam, he said he's just done being an out of state landlord.

The training aspect malkes me think it's s scam.

They like like they have great deals but I haven't been able to get anyone from their customer service on the phone so I'm concerned that this may be a scam site.

Well, I remember there was a thread a couple of days ago, started by a UK investor, about a property management problem she had with her property in Detroit.I just happened to find out that a friend of mine (really, not me as I do not have any interest in investing in Detroit) got caught in a similar scam targeting at foreigners.My friend is a Japanese citizen like myself who bought a duplex through another Japanese agent working in the Detroit market.When he bought the property at $25,000, the duplex had two units occupied and rent paid for $450 each.The agent said that this property was located in a nice, strong rental area so it should be rented out quickly and claim a same or similar rent amount even if current tenants moved out.Well, soon after he purchased the property, one tenant stopped paying rent so he had to evict him.

For the record…I know basically nothing abou t Nigeria, but any country that condones rampant scams, corruption, etc. is one I want to steer far clear of!

Especially being over 100 years old, there may be a lot of deferred maintenance that the owner wants to unload on some unsuspecting sap.

Check out Angies List, do NOT use Craigslist (scammers).If you find someone, have your PMC manage them and the repair process to avoid getting scammed.

I've been looking for a place for a month now, & have found that the Craigslist & FB Marketplace listings for single rooms are pretty much a joke or either outright scams.
