I switched to a consulting job and IBM has done a forced cut back on hours of 4 hrs per week but I don't think that will make this less painful and although I upped the amount taken out of my day job salary I will still end up having to pay.

They have personal agendas, plans for the houses, want some of the stuff and ideas abou what to do with the cash from savings or sale.These living people have bills to pay, children to feed and habits to pay for.Find the pain and the things that interfere and solve those problems.

It's been a pain in the a$$, so after just 2 years we are taking it off the mkt, we don't need the aggravation.One other thing watch out for Al wiring in the older condo's etc.

The other thing I've done on a house in which I rented out the three bedrooms separately is get the average monthly utility cost, and then say the place rents for X, and they are responsible to pay utilities at a flat fee of Y per month.I can see how the shutoffs would be a pain though.I'm also trying to get a rough idea of the cost involved in converting something like this versus the rents I'd pull from the end product, since I've not dealt with anything like this before.

I'd begin in real houses, much less pain inflicted upon yourself in the long run.
