Really low cost of living since I'm in company housing with a company car (a freaking Ford Taurus when people are shooting at us at gas stations) plus a rather nice paycheck.

Military bases, for 2 reasons.. 1) Housing stipends are normally 1200-2K, so guaranteed money.. 2) transitional housing.. most military servicemen/women will only be stationed somewhere for a few years, so most don't want to buy, just rent.

@Russell Brazil While I haven’t figured out the growth percentage in my area, I can tell you that my town of Bayonne, NJ (where I plan to invest) is 12 miles away from New York City, there are 3 light rail stations, we have a Walmart, we have a new Costco opening this Spring and there are numerous new high end condominium complexes being built around town.
