Small blocks, all look well maintained (landscaping, upkeep, etc.).Definitely the most rural-feeling of the areas we visited.

Usually the basics for good curb appeal and return would be:Green grass (no weeds or big empty patches), have the trees and bushes pruned.Use low lying flowers/shrubs at front of house so there's some color and character.. but you're not blocking up the view of front of the homeKeeping things generally 'manicured' is the better way to go. 

I personally see no reason a selling agent with block someone from seeing a property, unless they had instructions from the seller to do so (and it was legal).

The houses are right next to each other on a corner lot that is ~2 blocks away from a brand new hospital that is being built in my townCurrent rents - these are definitely below current market value even before the new hospital goes in.

Mike, the lot is almost 4000sq ft, it is right behind the new medical complexes and is two blocks fromCanal Street Streetcar; it's actually in walking distance to the Superdome.

Looks like the home will meet FHA requirements and we will have to pay a bit more to get the crawl space dried out and have some blocks repaired, then have it re-leveled. 

Do focus on making a fat list of properties, make a list of the UGLIEST houses on the block.
