As a parent, I love the idea of the flexibility of a coach house.It also adds relatively affordable new housing—it’s interesting how ending the long-standing ADU ban has been championed by Chicago anti-poverty organizations—which appeals to my values.I’ll update this thread later when there are additional developments for others interested in this approach.Thanks 

There's a strong anti-HOA sentiment on BP and I believe there's good reason for some of that.

Ohio has a real problem with out-of-state slumlords, so we're seeing an increase in anti-landlord policies among individual counties/cities.

in summary, we're not anti-insurance.

We are getting ready to rent out our first home in the Seattle area, and we just learned that there is an anti-discrimination law in King County regarding Section 8. 

I think in some areas there will be no STRs available for lottery after accommodating the "good" STR owners.Del Mar passed very stringent non-STR regulations but the coastal commission required that they be eased slightly.In general, San Diego climate is anti- STR and to plan for STRs is a higher risk plan.
