Only the dumb ones who have some reality TV notion that bullying a landlord will actually get them an apartment - doh.

But, it's not any better for landlords who don't.There's a crazy notion in Oakland that all landlords are not only evil, but have unlimited resources to house tenants without compensation by the government. 

However, the seller countered with a higher (yet lower than the original listed price) offer based on the notion that they need to complete repairs to the house in order for property to pass inspection.Therefore, I'm curious to see if anyone has experienced this situation before and/or has a professional opinion.  

The numbers just don't support that notion

(I've got my own opinions on the notion of an infinite supply of magical turn-key investment properties that somehow have better-than-market cap rates, but I'll keep that to myself as it is off-topic.)

It's usually a private company that comes in and cleans up all the gore for a fee.I'm of the notion that this is a business and I'm more than happy to try to make my customers happy, but if they are high maintenance, at some point, you're going to have to be the "bad guy" and say no.For example, I've got a tenant who is ALWAYS late with the rent.  

I have no idea where this notion that a majority of Turnkey companies will require all cash???

It gives me a sick feeling that you have challenged your PM’s knowledge about grounds for discrimination, asked for clarification here, and then drawn your own contrary inference that appears to be based on your own preconceived notions about habitability.

I understand some kid's today have this notion there born with all knowledge in the universe up there wazoo, but for us "mere-mortals" time leveraging, such as acquiring the decades of knowledge of others, is a COMMON practice of the highly successful.
