In need of major repairs and is not suitable for living due to some fixing that are safety issues but has potential?

My boyfriend and I currently own a rental property in Pittsburgh and we are planning to move to CA next summer for career opportunities.

LOL.. figured with my Tesla I have no gas.. and I get bored sometimes so I though maybe I give folks a ride around and socialize a little. .. but then when I read the fine print that I had to accept dogs.. that was a no go in Oregon they would be wet and smelly and muddy.. so my lyft career never lyfted off LOL.. on a side note.. one gig I like that is real estate related for those looking for extra money is that of a transaction coordinator realtors really rely on those folks and you don't have to drive anywhere  computer great scanner and some skills.. my wife pays her 400.00 a file.. and she closed over 30 files last year.. so that's just one realtor and her coordinator has many realtors I bet she makes well over 100k a year from her home.. ( now she is very good I want to emphasize that ) 

In theory they spread out costs instead of having big ones possibly hit you at once.Other risks are burnout, running out of money (usually because of outside issues, personal issues, etc).For me, I've been thinking/evaluating a lot lately the 'opportunity cost' risk of stepping away from engineering and business career to do the real estate stuff. 

I am a local union electrician for Alameda county and have been building up a list of contacts of the tradesmen I met throughout my career and got along with on the job site, these individuals specialize in their own trade and are trust worthy people in general which was a big reason we got along.

I personally hope to meet like-minded people from BiggerPockets, to be able to exchange ideas about real estate investments in general and to build up a network.I am currently trying to find the most suitable investment strategy for me and the European market.

In real estate you may not have that many 'at bat' attempts to swing, so one unlucky strike out should not end your investing career early.

I've been able to save up about $10k and I'm looking to get a game plan going forward in my real estate investing career. 

I graduated college, joined the work force and have been pushing forward my career, and now, 6 years in, yearn for something that will provide me with financial freedom sometime not-too-far down the road.

I am looking at this as a full time career, and am willing to do much of the legwork myself when appropriate, in case anyone was wondering about my expected level of involvement.
