I would suggest you interview multiple brokers/lenders and get comfortable with someone before you put anything under contract.

If you're interviewing commercial brokers, ask them how they'll be marketing your place.

I really don't think you can look at too many properties, and the more you look, the more knowledge you will gain for that marketCheck out the free  BiggerPockets Podcast-and ASKBP podcasts with interviews and a ton of great advice.

As @Dan Mackin said, you just need to interview people and find someone on your wavelength.

Even if you don't own any real estate, I'd start interviewing accountants right away.
