As a result, you start to tease out what aspects of real estate investing you like and what aspects you just don't like.

The problem is that most contractors don’t fully understand the flipper and in some aspects, the flipper does not understand the contractor side of the business.

I also handle finding a tenant and manage all aspects of the property - so that they do not have to do or worry about ANYTHING.

Sounds like you're on the right track with your research, and I get how daunting the design aspect can be.If you were flipping houses, the design process is an easy fix and I would highly recommend an interior designer to take a look at your blank slate.
