I think the chief concern here is making sure you have two tenants to go after if the rent remains unpaid, and the only thing I know that accomplishes that is a POA.

Spoke to the chief inspector this morning and he said as long as there are no damages to the area and everything is up to code, he'll will remove the condemned status after inspections.
